PS. This blog was written a long time ago but is being published quite late so we know recent developments.
So we are rating the players Tottenham have been linked with this season, We will be rating them on the way they will fit in the squad and their impact, Not on how good a player is. For example, Lewandowski can be the best player in the world but would receive a low rating because his probability of coming to spurs is low and he is 33. THIS IS NOT THEIR FOOTBALLING ABILITIES THIS IS BASED ON THEIR CHANCE OF COMING TO TOTTENHAM.
Franck Kessié - 4/10
This summer, Franck Kessie is out of contract, and Tottenham is quite heavily linked with him. The Ivorian midfielder has grown to be quite an important midfielder for AC Milan but now has chosen to not renew his contract. Spurs are looking to try their hand in the January transfer window to prevent a bidding war in Summer. This transfer can be possible if Spurs manage to match his wage demand. Kessie has the incredible passing ability and is a solid asset for any team trying to play out from the back. Kessie rarely loses the ball which is a quality every successful midfield needs, Kessie isn't the typical DM but a midfield of Winks Skipp Kessie would be appetizing.
Weston Mckennie - 5/10
Tottenham were linked with Mckennie since his Schalke days and now he is still being heavily targeted by Tottenham. The American has grown to be an important player for the Old Lady after signing from Schalke raking up 3 goals from midfield in the league this season. Mckennie also can make runs from midfield, He links up with the winger beautifully for a 1-2 and has incredible ability in the air. Tottenham needs a midfielder but this transfer could be a bit difficult for Paratici to pull off.
Jesse Lingard - 1/10
This transfer isn't happening. Lingard was an exceptional signing for West Ham on loan last season, but he is on his way out due to lack of game time. The main reason for this transfer not to occur is the game time won't be available to him here too. Another reason for this transfer not happening is because the move to Newcastle is just around the corner for Lingard.
Sofyan Amrabat - 10/10
This is happening, This transfer is just some steps away from being happening. Well, the general reaction is not the most cheerful around this signing and no one will blame spurs fan because it's a plain midfielder that has a high chance of flopping in the premier league. Amrabat can drop in the backline and can distribute the ball around, Maybe Conte plans to use Hojberg in a more advanced position.
