The Top 4 race

The "Toughest League" in the world has given us many battles, including for Relegation, Title, and Top 4. Today, we will be looking at the top 4 race in the 21/22 season.

If you narrow it down it's a race between 4 teams, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Ham. We are gonna rank the probability of each of them getting into the UCL spots.

4] West Ham - The Hammers have continued their good form from last season as they are in the top 4 contentions this season again. They have a stable top-half lineup with Bowen smashing the goals, Rice controlling the midfield, and Fabianski being a good pair of hands.

But the paper-thin squad has taken a toll on the hammer's season, ranking 4th on our list. After a decent start to the season, Moyes's Men have struggled to keep up the consistency against lower placed opposition that includes the recent upsets to the hand of Leeds United and Brentford. West Ham faces a tough end to the season with trips to Stamford Bridge and then playing Arsenal and Man City at the London Stadium. West Ham need a half miracle to play the highest tier of European football next season.

3] Manchester United - Manchester United have underperformed their expectations severely this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjær, But after he got sacked Man Utd looked a bit on the rise with Ragnick at the helm as an intern manager. Man Utd have constantly struggled to match the consistency that the other teams have over them, They managed to gain just 5 points from the available 15 in their last 15 matches, In which they faced Watford, Man City, Tottenham, Leicester City and Everton. The red side of Manchester lacks the Gyle and the intensity required in the premier league, Paul Pogba had another quiet season, Harry Maguire faced national backlash over his defensive duties again, AWB and Shaw had a catastrophic season being replaced by Dalot and Telles respectively in the first team, Varane struggled with injuries, Sancho is taking his time to adapt to the premier league, Bruno Fernandes lost his special touch losing the ball on multiple occasions throughout many matches, So all in all its a bit of a catastrophic situation in the Red Devils squad. But there have been some positives in all this, Like the absolute staggering season, David De Gea had in between the post, Fred's redemption under Ragnick and Elanga's breakthrough to the first team. Man Utd are 6 points behind the 4th spot so it's not impossible but it is unlikely that they will finish in the top 4, The fixture list that Man Utd has also doesn't support them as they still have to face Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. Ragnick and Ronaldo need to pull a trick out of their hat if they need to get top 4.

2] Arsenal - The Gunners have been pretty decent after their horrendous start to the season with losses against Brentford and man city, Arteta's process finally seems in motion after many years and many hundreds of millions with them finally in competition for the top 4. The likes of Ben White has been a tremendous buy for them along with that Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe have been popping off providing the important goal contribution from the midfield with Partey finally looking good in the Premier League in a pivot with Xhaka, Saka is continuing his steady rise to the top with another decent season with 14 g/a in the prem. Arsenal had a lead above other teams heading into the last stage of the season but are constantly dropping points in the most important part of the stage managing a total of 3 points from available 9, Bottling the 4th spot to Tottenham. Injuries to Tierney and Partey haven't helped as they will be out for the remaining season, Cedric cant replicate the impact Tomiyasu had over the team, Ramsdale seems to have lost his bearings. Arsenal needs to get their squad going again if they want to return to the top of European football. Arteta needs to motivate his team through Spurs, Man Utd, Chelsea, and West Ham.

1] Tottenham - Since joining after Nuno's departure, Antonio Conte has changed the Spurs' whole season dynamic. Conte turned Kane into his former self and since then Kane has been utter sensational in both his goal-scoring ability and his playmaking ability, Heung Min Son is back to his very best with already managing more non-penalty goals than Salah and is now looking like a competitor to Salah to Golden boot which looked unlikely during the midpoint of the season, Bentancur and Kuluvseski have been sensational upgrades to the team, Kulu has been a great addition to the front 3 getting 9 G/A in 11 games and Bentancur being the perfect partner for Hojberg. Tottenham have struggled against low blocks and have lost multiple points over the season against them. Tottenham have the most chance to get top 4 because of the relatively easier run of fixtures. Spurs fans would be excited to see their team return to the Champions League after so many years.
